La corrispondenza internal between the bishops of Wisconsin and the then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, wrote the New York Times , shows that the priority was, at that time, to protect the church from scandal.

The case in question concerns a priest in Wisconsin, the Rev. Lawrence C. Murphy, who had worked in the school from 1950 to 1977. In 1996, reports the American newspaper, the then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger has not replied to two letters that were sent by the archbishop of Milwaukee, Rembert G. Weakland, while only eight months later, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone gave instructions to the bishops of Wisconsin, to begin a canonical process would be secret potuto portare all'allontanamento di padre Murphy.

Ma secondo quanto si legge, padre Murphy non ricevette mai alcuna punizione o sanzione e fu trasferito in segreto in some parishes and Catholic schools before his death in 1998.

The Vatican spokesman, Father Federico Lombardi, in a statement quoted by the NYT says that key factors in the decision not to punish his father Murphy were poor health and lack of new charges against him. The priest has certainly abused children "particularly vulnerable" and violated the law and it is "a tragic case," says Lombardi, but pointed out that the Vatican was made aware of the case until 1996, years after the end investigations. About the reasons for which Father Murphy was never punished by reducing the lay state, il portavoce ha risposto che "il diritto canonico non prevede punizioni automatiche".

So: the Aldine is a friend of my mother, always. Mother dell'Aldina (whose family name was Manzoni!) Was very dear friend of my grandmother, my mom's mom. Every Wednesday they met, along with other ladies, and if told by eating bread, prosciutto and mortadella. The Aldine then was married to Mario, and my mom with my dad. Friends always, new year together, dinners, get out. Then my mom got pregnant with me, and after a few months Aldina also had a daughter, Helga . After six years my mother has re-opened the dance with my sister, Lisa, and the wheel after a few months, Frank had Aldine. It 'was just an unexpected and wonderful surprise to discover, when I was pregnant just four months, which also Helga expecting a child! She even was tighter than me, has maintained the pace of women, while I was a bit 'lost away with tortoise ... Viola was born a month ago, and it is pure sentimentality for us to think that our lives continue step by step, together. I wonder if Lisa and Francesca will stay in tow!

200 g dark chocolate 100 g sugar 100 g

butter 3 tablespoons flour 3 eggs

Beat the egg whites until stiff. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and allow it to cool. With a mixer (or by hand) mix well sugar, butter and tuorli fino a renderli spumosi, poi incorporatevi la farina setacciata e il cioccolato fuso.

Coast to Coast

Coast to Coast in great demand, customized, from San Francisco to New York.
A great demand because many people, after the previous post that was generic, they asked us the details of the route. The picture is not much but you get the idea. Add two things. The first is that this path (by me) is compared with other routes, always test by myself, it's the right miglliore in return, the balance between nature and cities, cost, time, things you see ... in short, is the optimum between investment and output. The second is that every day we see / do something "worth it". Let's see ... It starts with San Francisco then Yosemite, Sequoia, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Rote 66, Grand Canyon, Painted Desert, Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, Glen Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Salt Lake City, Rote 89, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Cody, Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave, Crazy Horse Memorial, Rapid City. Jump across the great plains (where the tourists do not find), Sioux Falls, along the Mississippi, Chicago, Detroit, (is passed in Canada), Niagara Falls, Elmira and Scranton areas, and finally New York.
As we have said in previous post is what we recommended to our two guests, two young men about 30 years old who want a balance between park and city. The difficulty, and it is our added value is to make sure that every day there is something to do with the best time to visit the park or the city, so that the investment of the trip is well compensated. The problem is in fact that on paper all the towns and parks are the same, but we've been there and know the time needed for mileage and for the visits and then advise them to leaving even the most learned and free nights to allow deviations. For details and more necessary to speak of Route Hwy suggested timeline and each day if you ask the post with the comments you'll also give this information. The course requires an estimated time of 30 days and of course the space available until the first day in New York. The budget? In August, flight, car and 21 nights (in the towns and lodge parks) from 6.000 to 6.500 € for the pair.

La Route 89, meglio della 66

Route 89 is the last of these occasions. Poi a nord attraverso il Deserto Dipinto, il Glen  Canyon ( e Antelope Canyon) ragging is the Zion NP, Bryce Canyon NP. Thus always to the north (perhaps with a detour to Capitol Reef NP) to Salt Lake City, Grand Teton and Yellowstone NP. But it's over. It 's the time to finish the ranch to Glacier NP. A full interest of the desert to the best of Roky Mountains, from Mexico to Canada.
